Confluence is just a fancy word for agreement. Picture asking five experienced traders whether a coin is about to rise. If all five say yes, you would feel far more confident than if three say yes and two say no. That gut feeling — how lopsided the vote is — is exactly what the confluence score measures.
On whatever time-span you are looking at, five separate indicators each give their own independent verdict. The score simply counts how many agree: from 0 (a complete coin-toss, no edge either way) up to 5 (every single tool points the same direction).
A high score is not a promise that price will move — nothing in markets ever is. It just means the evidence is unusually one-sided, so the setup is worth a closer look. A low score is a genuinely useful message too: it is telling you the market is undecided right now, and it may be a moment to wait rather than act.
